Introducing John Phelps

John P

John’s experience has come from a background of 46 years as a registered teacher. This includes 23 years teaching in the Nelson and Hawke’s Bay areas. He has been involved in educational ICT for 28 years in many parts of the New Zealand. He has also presented in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, England, the Netherlands and Canada.

As well as managing the business, his main role is in teaching and helping principals, teachers and students to increase their confidence and ability to use a wide range of technologies and applications.

To ensure that the professional training is relevant to current students and teaching strategies John works in several schools as a “guest” teacher. In this capacity he works at all levels from new entrants to senior secondary classes.

An increasing aspect of the service offered is to work with teachers to try and make lessons more engaging for students.

School wide and ICT strategic planning are popular components of the work.

After more than 5 years working as different iterations of the  Microsoft Learning Consultant role, Joh is now offerring a range of services to the Education and Small Business communities.

As well as working with individual clients John is part to the Digital Circus team providing PLD support for schools.

Introducing Sally Phelps

Comm-Dev-Sally-Phelps-Award-2 (Small)

After many years as a secondary school teacher Sally has over 20 years working in the community and  for the community. She has had roles with Sport Hawke’s Bay, Road Safe Hawke’s Bay and Community Injury Prevention – ACC.   Sally offers skills and knowledge which are highlighted on the ‘what we do’ page.

In 2014 she was recognised with a SCFNZ Safe Community Award in recognition of outstanding leadership and support for Safe Communities at the regional/local level.

She is currently providing contracted services to ACC.
